1. Headline policy
We don’t do general money-back refunds. The reason is simple: every product on this site is delivered live by one person — Madhav — and a refund means somebody got a seat another founder couldn’t take.
But “no refunds” alone is also unfair. So this page documents three explicit carve-outs that we honour without negotiation, plus the operational mechanics (clearance windows, GST treatment, dispute path).
2. SaaS Challenge — the ship guarantee
The 1-Week SaaS Live Challenge carries our most pointed promise. If you:
- Attend all seven live evening sessions (or watch the recording within 48 hours of any session you had to miss for a documented reason);
- Complete every assignment posted in the cohort Slack/Skool; and
- Still don’t have a deployed product with at least one paying customer or a real-money payment link by the end of Day 7
— we’ll seat you in the next available cohort, at no additional cost, until you ship.
This is a ship guarantee, not a money refund. The first cohort fee stays paid; what changes is that you keep drawing on the cohort experience until the outcome lands. We chose this shape because (a) refunds reward people who didn’t put in the work and (b) re-seating somebody who did put in the work is the right consequence when our delivery missed the mark.
To invoke the guarantee, email hello@digitalmadhav.ai within 14 days of cohort end with (a) your attendance log (we’ll cross-check) and (b) links to the assignments you submitted. We confirm the next-cohort seat within 7 days.
3. Mentorship — refund-if-not-fit
For paid 1:1 mentorship (15-min and 30-min slots): if within the first 5 minutes of the call we decide together that the question you brought is outside what Madhav can usefully help with, we end the call early, refund the fee in full, and (where possible) point you at a better-fit person or resource.
You can also invoke this clause within 48 hours after the call by emailing hello@digitalmadhav.ai with two sentences explaining what you got versus what you expected. We’d genuinely rather refund than keep money from somebody who didn’t get value — but the window is intentionally short to discourage abuse.
The clause does notapply if you book the slot, don’t show up, and ask for a refund afterwards. No-shows forfeit the fee — see §4.
4. Talks, workshops, consulting — non-refundable once locked
Corporate talks, two-day workshops, fractional CAIO retainers, and 90-day Launch sprints follow a different shape: once we’ve locked the date in our calendar and started any delivery work (research, pre-reads, agenda customisation), fees are non-refundable.
What this means in practice:
- Discovery deposit / first invoice: refundable until we send the calibration brief.
- After calibration brief sent: 50% non-refundable; the other 50% becomes non-refundable on the kickoff date.
- After kickoff: 100% non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, we move the engagement once at no charge with at least 7 days’ notice — second reschedule may require a date-fee.
For mentorship-style discovery calls under these brackets (e.g. a pre-engagement scoping call), the §3 mentorship rule applies.
5. Force majeure — when we cancel
If we cancel a cohort, talk, workshop, or engagement for reasons within our control (illness, travel disruption, calendar error, technical failure that makes the session undeliverable), you choose between:
- Full refund of fees paid to date — back to the original card via Razorpay; or
- Free seat in the next available run of the same product (e.g. next SaaS Challenge cohort, next workshop slot in your region) at no additional cost.
For events outside our reasonable control (natural disaster, internet/power outage at the venue, government action, a third-party platform outage that makes the session impossible to run), the same options apply. We don’t hide behind a force-majeure clause to keep money where the visitor got no delivery.
6. Accidental double-pay
If our payment webhook detects a duplicate charge for the same product within 30 minutes (e.g. you tapped pay twice because the page didn’t respond fast enough), we auto-refund the duplicate via Razorpay without you needing to ask. You’ll see the refund land within 5–10 business dayson the same card. No email is required — but if you don’t see the refund, email us with the order id and we’ll investigate the same business day.
7. How to request a refund
Email hello@digitalmadhav.ai from the same address you used at checkout, with:
- The Razorpay order id (look in your payment receipt — it starts with
order_). - The product (SaaS Challenge cohort, mentorship slot, workshop, etc.).
- Which clause you’re invoking (ship guarantee, refund-if-not-fit, force-majeure, double-pay).
- Two sentences on what happened.
We acknowledge within 1 business day, decide within 3 business days, and process the refund (where granted) on the same day as the decision. Razorpay then needs 5–10 business days to land the funds back on your card or account.
8. Razorpay clearance window
Refunds we issue go straight back to the same payment instrument you used at checkout — most often a card. From our side it’s instant; from your bank’s side it takes 5 to 10 business days depending on the issuer and country. International cards can occasionally take longer because of inter-bank routing.
If 10 business days have passed and the refund hasn’t landed, send us the order id and we’ll open a ticket with Razorpay on your behalf the same day.
9. GST & tax treatment
When the company is GST-registered: refunds reverse the GST component of the original invoice. Razorpay handles the GST credit-note generation; you’ll receive both the credit-note PDF and the refund itself.
International transactions don’t carry Indian GST and are refunded at the captured INR amount; your card issuer handles the foreign-exchange conversion at the prevailing rate on the refund date — that may differ from the rate on the charge date. We don’t cover the FX delta.
10. Disputes
If you disagree with our decision on a refund request, the dispute-resolution path in our Terms of Useapplies — Indian law, sole-arbitrator arbitration seated in Ahmedabad. We’d much rather resolve it directly over email; arbitration is the absolute last resort.
11. Contact
For anything refund-related, hello@digitalmadhav.ai. Madhav reads it personally. Related policies: Terms of Use, Privacy, Cohort Terms.
