Voice-as-a-Service
Voice-as-a-Service natural.
Voice changes the contract. Visitors expect sub-300ms response, idiomatic Hindi-English code-switching, and the agent to never feel mechanical. We build telephony bridges, real-time pipelines, and the safety net underneath them.
- Realtime API, Whisper, Sarvam, Deepgram, ElevenLabs — picked by language + cost target.
- Telephony bridges (Exotel, Twilio, Plivo) wired to LLM backends.
- Hindi-English code-switching tested on real Indian dialects, not synthetic benchmarks.
- Hallucination guardrails — refuse-to-answer over make-something-up.
“A delayed voice response feels broken. A wrong voice response feels worse.”

What this means in practice
We architect for the constraints unique to voice — latency budget per turn, dialect coverage, interruption handling — then build outward. Most teams skip the constraints; that's why most voice agents feel uncanny.
- 01
Latency budget per conversational turn, measured at every layer.
- 02
Reference implementation in your telephony stack (Exotel / Twilio / Plivo / WebRTC).
- 03
Code-switching dataset + eval suite for Indian languages.
- 04
Live observability: turn-level latency, ASR confidence, refusal rate, customer-rated quality.
Engagement shapes
2 ways to engage on Voice-as-a-Service. Pick the closest fit; we calibrate scope on the diagnostic call.
01
3–4 wk
Voice pilot
One narrow use case — appointment booking, support deflection, outbound qualification. Single language, telephony-only.
02
8–12 wk
Production voice deployment
Multi-language, multi-channel (telephony + WebRTC), with full observability + the safety net. Hand-off includes runbook + on-call rotation.
For
Who this fits
- Indian customer-facing teams (BFSI, healthcare, e-comm support) who already field 1000+ calls/day and want measurable deflection.
- International orgs needing Hindi/regional-language voice that doesn't sound like Google Translate.
- Founders building voice-native products who need a reference architecture to model against.
Not for
Honest gates
- Teams that haven't decided whether they need voice at all (the channel matters more than the model).
- Anyone expecting a 100% turn-by-turn replacement of a human agent — voice is best at narrow workflows, not anything-goes conversation.
FAQ
About this service.
Which Indian languages do you support?
Hindi (with English code-switching), Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi. Quality is highest where the underlying ASR/TTS is strongest — we test each language against real Indian dialects, not synthetic benchmarks. Tier of support varies by use-case complexity. What's the latency budget you target?
Sub-300 ms turn latency for natural conversation (visitor stops talking → agent starts talking). Telephony adds ~80–150 ms baseline; we squeeze the rest from VAD tuning, ASR streaming, prefetch on intent classification, and TTS streaming.Which telephony provider works best?
We've shipped against Exotel, Twilio, Plivo, Knowlarity, and direct WebRTC. Exotel for India-only, Twilio for international, WebRTC for in-app voice. The choice trades pricing × geographic reach × outbound calling restrictions. How do you handle voice hallucinations?
Refuse-to-answer over make-something-up. The agent is configured with explicit "if you don't know, escalate" prompts, plus a confidence threshold on every response. Below threshold → handoff to human. We'd rather a 5% escalation rate than a 0.5% confident-but-wrong rate.BFSI / healthcare compliance?
Yes — RBI-regulated voice deployments need full call-recording, audit log, model-card, and consent flow. We architect for this from day one: every turn logged, every model decision traceable, recording disclosure on the opening turn, opt-out path documented.Voice cloning — yes or no?
We don't clone Madhav's voice or anyone else's without explicit, written, revocable consent from the speaker. For production agents we use ElevenLabs / Sarvam / Deepgram licensed voices — the legal posture is much cleaner than custom clones.
